美都のホタル Fireflies in Mito area

自然豊かな益田市美都地区には５月下旬から多くの蛍が飛び始めるようになります。

In the area of Mito with rich nature in Masuda city, many fireflies begin to fly from around the end of May. 

日本では、ホタルは初夏の風物詩として知られています。

ホタルは夏になると綺麗な小川の近くで夜に発光します。

自然の豊かで水が綺麗だからこそ、夜にたくさんのホタルたちが飛んでいる景色が見ることができます。

ホタルの鑑賞にはいくつかの条件があります。
まず、生息期間は７日から１０日程度しかありません。
ホタルが飛んでいる時間は２０：３０～２１：３０で、気温も１６度以上の時にしか現れません。訪れる前には益田のホタルについてぜひ、確認してください。

There are some conditions to enjoy seeing that view.
First of all, their lifespan is very short.
The time we can see that view is 20:30 to 21:30, and fireflies appear only 15 degrees or more.
Please check at some website about fireflies in Masuda before you visit.
You should come and see the mysterious superb view.
