自転車競技キャンプ地 -Campground for Ireland national road race team

 益田は、「自転車のまち」として自転車活動を応援しており、アイルランド代表のオリンピックチームキャンプ地にも決まっています。 

 去年の７月には、アイルランド選手団（選手５名と監督およびスタッフ）が益田市で事前キャンプを実施しました。
また、アイルランドオリンピック・パラリンピック委員会役員２名とアイルランド自転車競技連盟チームスタッフ１名が来日し、市内の医療機関などを視察しました。
代表選手は滞在中、市民や小学生との交流も楽しんでくれました。

 Cycling town, Masuda is a base ground of the Ireland national road race team.
National team members of Ireland visited our city last July, and they carried out the pre-camp.
Two executives of the team and a medical staff also came to our city, and they inspected the facilities of our town. 

益田は信号が少なく、ロードレーサーにとって魅力的なコースがたくさんあります。
コロナウイルスによりオリンピックの開催に暗雲がたちこめていますが、予定どおり開催の運びになれば、嬉しいです。

２０２０年の夏に東京にたくさん来る外国人の皆さんに、東京のついでに日本の本物の田舎・石見に立ち寄ってほしいと思って始めたこのブログなので、今年開催してくれればなあと希望的な考えを持っています。（でも、皆さんの安全第一だと思います）

It is said that our city is good for road racer because there is few traffic lights in our city.
The national team was glad when they carried out the camp and inspected our city. 
Now Tokyo Olympic does not look good because of coronavirus, but we hope it will be held as scheduled. We have started this blog because we wanted many foreign tourists who would visit Tokyo to come to our home town where is the real country of Japan.
That is why we hope that the event will be held as planned, however, it can’t be helped　(people’s health come first!)
